Have the child stand with toes resting flat.
Measure from the heel to the longest toe.
Measure both feet and use the larger measurement.

Beautiful light weight sandals for the summer. The sole seemed to absorb a lot of sweat during hot days and the bottoms were flexible. The only issue I noticed was my daughter's pinky toe began to stick out after they began to stretch out.
