Do NOT hold up!
After wearing these shoes occasionally for less than 6 months, my 1 year old son wore a hole straight through the bottom of the sole of the shoe. (You can actually touch his toe through the bottom of the shoe.) I contacted Pediped to see what they would do, and they said that all they could do was offer me 15% off another pair. Don't waste your money.

Happy with purchase
The shoes are sturdy and provide a good grip for babies learning to walk. Love that the soles are black to hide discoloration when used outside.

I just bought these in "navy" but I feel like they are very stiff and not flexible in the sole and the laces area. Do these soften quickly with wear?

There is a bit of stiffness while still keeping flexible when pressure is placed on the tension points. This is to keep the foot protected while still allowing room to wiggle and feel around. They will soften with wear as any leather shoes would! :) Thank you!

The Originals® can be worn outside but will not be as durable as the Grip 'n' Go™ styles if the child is a super comfortable walker and cruising around everywhere with no issues. The soles are made of leather though so it's important to keep them out of the puddles and not get the soles wet. Thanks for reaching out to us.

Jane, You should go with the 12-18 the are less than half an inch larger than the 6-12 months. They may be a little larger but with socks he should be fine. Thank you Customer Service

NUBUCK

To clean: Due to the soft, velvety nature of nubuck, marks or color transfers may occur. Fortunately, if marks or color transfers do occur, they are easily removed with a suede or nubuck eraser. Simply rub the eraser back and forth over the discolored area until the marks disappear. Suede or nubuck erasers are available at shoe stores, mass merchandisers and pharmacies. They are also available online at www.kiwicare.com.

To protect: Spray your NEW shoes with a non-toxic waterproof protectant. This simple spray-on process will extend the life of your shoes and make them easier to clean.

MACHINE WASHABLE

This shoe is not machine washable.

If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, we will gladly accept the return of any product in its unused, original condition for a full refund of the purchase price within 30 days of the purchase date.
