ANGELA EDGEWORTH RECEIVES A NATIONAL WORKING MOTHER OF THE YEAR
AWARD FROM THE MOMS IN BUSINESS NETWORK
Henderson, NV (May 2008) — Angela Edgeworth, co-founder of pediped™ was awarded the 2008 National Working Mother of the Year award by the Moms in Business Network. Each year, this international organization of over 64 million women, honors one working mother for her outstanding entrepreneurial and philanthropic achievements.
The award could not be more fitting, since it was motherhood that led Angela to launch pediped™. When her daughter Caroline was born she began a quest in search of fashion savvy, pediatrician and podiatrist-approved shoes. Seeing a void in the market, Angela began to design a line herself, based on, style, comfort and quality. It was in February of 2005 that she, along her husband and business partner Brian Edgeworth, founded pediped™.
Currently touted as the “next best thing to bare feet,” the company continues to grow, adding more and more customers each year. As sales rose, so did Angela’s desire to give back to the community. Making charitable donations to organizations from the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital to Soles 4 Souls. In 2008, pediped™ took its promise of giving back a step further with its first official Make-A-Wish collaboration. Committing to raising over $50,000 for the foundation, granting seven wishes for seven terminally ill children.
