PEDIPED™ EXCEEDS ITS $50K FUNDRAISING GOAL
FOR THE MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION®
Henderson, NV, August 2008-pediped™ is excited to announce that it has met and exceeded its $50,000 fundraising goal for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The children’s footwear brand announced its partnership with the Foundation earlier this year, committing to raise enough funds to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. The brand doubled its promise within the first six months of the one-year partnership, and is now approaching the $100,000 fundraising milestone.
Angela Edgeworth, mother and pediped™ President, comments on the collaboration. “pediped™ is a brand that was created for the well-being of children. When we saw the amazing journeys the Make-A-Wish Foundation was able to offer, we knew we wanted help. Therefore, we have implemented special discount programs, with proceeds going to the charity.”
The first pediped™ program benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation was a fund-matching initiative which took place Feb. 15 – May 15. The second, a discount program, ran from May 15 – June 15. The programs have each been such a success that two more are scheduled for Aug. 15-Sept. 15 and December 17-31. During the fundraiser periods pediped™ will donate a percentage of the proceeds from the sales of the shoes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
To further support their fundraising efforts, pediped™ has secured two national ads in the May and November issues of Parents magazine.
